Background
Crazysouvle has been in business since 1972 when Mr. Iakovidis Spyros and Mr. Panaritis Yannis, thought that they should create a machine that would help in the production of souvlaki, which until then was difficult because the souvlaki was made entirely by hand.
The idea was fleshed out in a few months, when the first moulds of the type A machine were made, which produced 100 45gr skewers and is still in circulation today.
It is true that this machine played a big role in making souvlaki one of the traditional Greek dishes.
In 1983, after the death of Spyros Iakovidis, the business was divided into two parts and his daughter Artemis Iakovidis took over the business and kept it until 2002. Since then the company is under the management of Fountoukas Theodoros and has machines for all types of skewers, depending on the preferences of each market.
